Frequently asked questions

Is this for exhibitors or organisers?

Exhibitors — companies that book a booth to generate leads and deals. Organisers running the event should use the Organiser Exhibition ROI Planner.

What counts as a lead?

Use qualified contacts you will follow up — not every badge scan. Inflated lead counts make ROI look better than reality.

What is conversion rate here?

The percentage of those leads that become won deals at your average deal value. If you only know meeting or opportunity rates, convert them to an overall lead→win estimate.

Should hotel and travel be included?

Yes, if they only happened because of the show. Leave out costs you would have incurred anyway.

What is a good exhibitor ROI?

Many teams want expected revenue clearly above total cost after a realistic conversion rate. Re-run with a lower conversion before you book the same show again.
