Haversine (straight-line) distance between city coordinates, multiplied by a road factor (~1.32 within the same region).
Can I enter my own km?
Yes — use Distance override when you already have a routed kilometre figure from a TMS or maps tool.
Are tolls accurate?
No — they are a simple £/100 km band by vehicle type for budgeting. Check national toll systems for the real route.
Why flag different regions?
A London–Sydney pair is not a road haul. The tool still shows a sketch distance but warns you to use sea/air instead.
